It’s your choice, whether you want to face it or not. It’s always about choices. Good ones, bad ones. You can’t turn away, you must decide. We are all counting on you.
The other day I wrote a blog about fear, (Fear Not, April 24th). So what would you do if you weren’t afraid? It’s your choice. If you’ve decided to have no fear, then what’s it going to be? How will you move forward? What is your dream? How will you pursue that dream? It’s your choice to make.
Or not. The choices you make, the ones you don’t make. It’s the same for me, for all of us. I’ve made a choice to give back, to become more, to share perspective, emotion, gratitude, appreciation, love. To blog. To write. To author. To put down words and see if those words have power. The power to change, to search for good, to focus on the positive. Choices. I know it seems there are more questions than answers, but I can’t decide for you, it’s up to you.
It’s so important, it can’t be overlooked, because your life, or at least the quality of that life, is decided by the choices you make. Where to live. Where to work. Who to share your life with. Sometimes it is the choice to take the road less traveled, the decision not to take the easy path, not to simply go with the flow, but instead to go in a different direction than the masses and to stand out from the crowd.
The choice to sit on the sidelines, or to live a life that matters.
I received a suggestion by one of the tribe to blog about just this subject, unfortunately the request was inspired by serious and deadly circumstances. I don’t want to get into gory details, but it brings up a good point, because in that type of situation what is your choice? Do you run from danger, or witness a scary, possibly life-threatening situation and stop to lend a hand? In the heat of the moment, in the blink of an eye, what choice do you make? Will you help another human, or do you decide saving yourself is more important, that your life, that what you might sacrifice is bigger than that you are witnessing? I’m not saying one way is right, and another is wrong. It’s your choice. The choices we make affect and direct our lives… and can easily affect the direction of another.
Here’s a choice I want you to think about. If you could do anything you want to do, if you could be anything you want to be, if you were not afraid, what would you choose to do? It’s important. Your life and the lives of those you could possibly touch by making the right choice, depend on your decision. Decide to really live, to attract success, to live a dream and the world is enriched, because you are sharing what you were meant to do. Choose to sit on the sidelines and you and the world around you are lesser because of it. Don’t cheat the world, don’t cheat yourself from being your best, from giving it your all.
The doors we open, the ones we close because of the choices we make define our life and just as importantly the lives of those around us.
It’s your life for the taking. It’s your choice. Choose wisely and we all win!
Until next time, thanks for choosing to take the time.
