Clean Slate: It’s Just About… Life

I suppose it’s easier to think about this on a morning when the sun is shining, the sky is blue and the season of spring is about to explode.

But every day it’s the truth. The ability to start again. The opportunity to begin anew. The vision that most anything is possible.

The beauty of a clean slate.

Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift.

There is no doubt.

Since there is no promise of tomorrow the worry of what might be is almost futile, the regret over what has been is the quicksand method to staying in place. The belief should be in the present – a bold and bright vision of your future, no matter what, and the ability to get up, to move, to change and to work on today to make tomorrow all it can be.

It is amazing that no matter what life throws at you, what the world tries to convince you that you need, or what you should do, that each day the sun rises, albeit some days behind the clouds, but it’s there, it’s constant, and it’s never going away…until you do.

So why fight it? If the powers that be and the universe can find a way to begin again every 24 hours, it should be a lesson in consistency and perseverance. This is where you and I live – in this world – a part of this universe – and it’s trying to send us a message, not just send it, but to drill it into our psyche and into our soul. But only if you are here and in the moment.

Awareness. Attention. Affirmation. The ability to embrace all three, (and anyone who follows this blog knows I wholeheartedly and passionately believe in the power of three), is a powerful life-changing combination.

The awareness of the beauty of what is all around you and inside you – your purpose – your why.

The attention to what needs to get done, to move, to change to make this day and your life all that it can be.

The affirmation that you can, you are, it is and nothing in this world will stop you. You might trip-up, you might fall back, but you will get up, you won’t break, you won’t stand still, and you will never, ever give up.

All because each and every day you get the chance to mirror the universe – to tap into the power of your potential – as the most unbelievable miracle and creature the world has ever seen, because it’s the undeniable truth there is no one exactly like you and there never will be again.
