It Takes 2, The Party: It’s Just About… Life.

Sometimes it’s hard to find the words, but you must, to make it stand for all time. That’s the reason I wrote the book, It Takes 2. Surviving Breast Cancer: A Spouse’s Story, (check our Amazon ranking at the bottom) and last night I had the honor to stand all night long, to sell and sign them. Some days (and nights) are meant to be remembered.

I am an author. Friends, family and some people I had never met, but who are now friends and “readers”, gave me living, breathing proof last night. They showed up to share at the book launch party. I promised to number the first 100 books ever sold by me personally, we have 5 to go. I am blown away. Give & Receive.

It was a late night, and there’s a double-header soccer game to get to, so this won’t be long. But a ton of thank you’s are in order, to Scott Bondroff and to Jeff Sirody of Charm City Static for the opportunity to partner up with the band for last night’s party. To Michael’s Café who hosted and is donating a portion of sales from the party to Men Against Breast Cancer, as am I. We’ll post the totals on the spouse-story Facebook page mid-week. To book designer Holly Burke for creating such an awesome cover, and who got the chance to see it in person last night. To Reese Hicks, Chief Operating Officer of Victor Graphics who is printing the book locally for my appearances and book signings, and to my executive assistant Lisa Norris… without her enthusiasm and attention to detail, last night would have been a tough ride.

And last, but not least to my wife Debbie. My book, her struggle, our story. She is the one that truly has made this all possible by just living life the way it is meant to be lived, with fight, vitality and pure beauty, inside and out.

That’s reason enough to party.
