The Journey, One Word at a Time: It’s Just About… Life.

One_Little_WordFrom the time you take your first breath, until the time you take your last. The journey is what it’s all about. And on this blog, the journey is just about… life.

So are you making your journey all it can be? Are you moving through with purpose, or aimlessly until you just stop moving altogether? We all have tremendous potential to do something, for each person it might be something different, but that’s your challenge, to find what that something is and how it can benefit other people. It’s inside you, you might not realize it, you might not be in touch with it, but it’s there, if you just take the time to think about it. We all have the potential to be extraordinary. Figure it out, truly take the time to do so, then your journey can begin in earnest. It’s so worth it.

But you have to get out of your own way first. Author and publisher Marc Allen, in his book, The Millionaire Course, says the biggest obstacle to you living the life you deserve is your own mind. Allen says the universe says “yes” to whatever you believe, if you envision success, the universe says “yes”, you will be successful. If you believe it’s just too hard, or you are a failure, the universe says “yes”, its much too hard to be successful, it’s too difficult to live your dream. It’s your doubts and fears telling you it can’t be done. Time to turn a deaf ear, get up, get out and go for it.

I’m on a journey to become more by helping others to do the same. I’m sharing what I learn, what I feel, my perspective, my emotion and having no fear to do so. I received a card in the mail yesterday from a new friend, Jeremy Walsh, his card said the following: “I love that you have found your mission and that you are changing the world when you write, one word at a time”.

Those are not my words, they are his. I believe it’s proof life is a two-way street. If I can show gratitude, appreciation, love and try to inspire others by sharing what I am learning, and anyone else is inspired to take a shot at living their dream as well, then we are all becoming more. We are all transformed. This is my ultimate goal. Jeremy is doing the same with his business and his family. I know because we have had a few long talks over lunch, his story is inspiring, his business is flourishing. At a young age, Jeremy is a winner because he puts other people first. His website gets right to the point: www.SimplyReferable.com. You are not referable unless you make another person the hero. That person will then tell other people about you. They will share a remark about you, making you remarkable. Be remarkable.

The challenge is how do you tap into that power? The first step is gratitude. Darren Hardy, the publisher of Success Magazine, states my favorite line, “gratitude is the attitude that changes everything”. Appreciation of abundance, appreciation of what’s important, of who is important, that’s the golden ticket. From that foundation, you can build everything else. Want more help building on that foundation, then heed the words of motivational and inspirational philosopher Jim Rohn, “to reach the higher shelves in life, you must stand on the books you read”. Read something every day. Read something inspirational, motivational or educational, something that focuses on your dream, or simply how to find your dream, so your journey is worthwhile.

What are you afraid of? What have you got to lose? Failure? No way. The world’s biggest success stories, the world’s most successful people, failed countless times before they found their way. In every failure is a lesson and a clue on how to do it better, to accomplish something bigger than you are, if you just keep going and stay focused on the dream.

Can I change the world, or someone else’s world? I will never know unless I just keep trying. Or maybe it is already happening.

One word at a time.

Until next time, thanks for taking the time.

Mark
