The Magic of 3, Again: It’s Just About… Life.

picture of 3A FRIEND OF mine, Pete Kohlasch, discovered the following quote: “The three components of happiness are something to do, someone to love and something to look forward to. Think about it. If we have useful work, sustaining relationships and the promise of pleasure, it is hard to be unhappy.” – Gordon Livingston

I would have to agree. And it got me thinking again about the power and the magic of three. Back in March of this year I published a blog called, 3 is a Magic Number, (https://markbrodinsky.com/2013/03/15/3-is-a-magic-number-its-just-about-life/), and then another in July called, Three Words, (https://markbrodinsky.com/2013/07/28/three-words-its-just-about-life/). The power of three is undeniable. But then again, so is the power of two.

1 + 1 = 2. Even one more person, one more mind, one more idea other than your own, will double your talents, your abilities, your purpose and your potential. And let’s not forget about love, having that one other special person in your life can change your whole world. Heck, I just wrote a book about it! It Takes 2. Surviving Breast Cancer: A Spouse’s Story, (published September 26th, remember? :)). But as I thought about the breast cancer journey, how my wife struggled to defeat the beast and I did my best to care for and support her, the end result is really the magic of three. It took two of us to get through it, but the book is really the journey coming full circle. The story of two has transformed into one more, the book, and a way to share our story with the world. It’s the magic of three that takes this story and multiplies it thousands of times over.

And what about you? You, who are reading this right now and are making magic right at this moment. You, I and the blog, It’s Just About… Life. I write it, you read it, I hope we both are transformed. It’s the power of three, you and I and turning the written word into a powerful tool to connect and change… to become more. After all, what’s the use of improving yourself if you can’t use what you’ve learned to help others?

The magic of 3, again.

Until next time, thanks for taking the time.
