I heard this on an audio I was listening to recently and thought it worthy to share, especially if you desire to start your day on the right path, in the right frame of mind and know that no matter what you can never, ever give up on yourself, the reason you are here and what you can do with your life, regardless of circumstance:
“This story is from a young man, a young lawyer in New York. He’d married a beautiful girl and they had a lovely daughter. And then suddenly…she died.
This is what he wrote, this was in his diary:
She was beautiful in face, in form, and lovelier still in spirit. As a flower she grew and as a fair, young flower, she died. And when my heart’s dearest died, the light went from my life… forever.
He felt the light gone from his life forever, but he went on. Every ending is only a beginning, always. The young must know it, the old must know it. Because the greatness comes not when things go always good for you, but the greatness comes when you are really tested. When you take some knocks, some disappointments, when sadness comes. Because only if you’ve been in the deepest valley, can you know how magnificent it is to be on the highest mountain.
Always give your best, never get discouraged, never be petty, always remember others may hate you, those who hate you don’t win, unless you hate them. And then you destroy yourself.”
So live, love, serve, care, forgive. And never, ever give up on your dream. When the world says “no”, say “next”. Take all that you have been given and figure out all that you can do for as many people as you possibly can. Always remember if you do what is easy, life will be hard. There’s a reason we call them mountains and you must climb.
Your highest mountain awaits…
Until next time thanks for taking the time,
Mark
