Your Turn: It’s Just About… Life

now_its_your_turn

It’s all about awareness. Awareness that you have but one shot at this, one shot at life. There are many days in this life, or at least we hope, but in the end there’s no warm-up, no dress rehearsal, no practice. Each and every day it’s “game on”.

The gift is to focus. Focus on who you are, who you can become, who you need to be. Find your why, find your way and then follow that path which leads to the door – one you can open wide and then turn on the lights for other people. Because whatever gift it is you have to share, whatever your purpose, if you do it in service to others, if you help them to win, you cannot lose. There is no fear, only confidence, courage and conviction.

Be thankful for who you are, what you already have and how you can share. Create and build from the depths of your soul. Speak from the heart and let others hear that sound and it will resonate inside their own. When you speak from the heart, everyone who has one will buy in.

It’s a simple end game, give, give, give… receive.

The proof is in a single word at the beginning of this blog: awareness. All the words which follow are simply the thoughts that flow from my own mind and from my own heart, all derived from the simple act of reading one page in a book, one quote, less than 50 words that can fire up a realization about life and then lead to my own interpretation and explanation of what it means to me.

Now it’s your turn.

After reading the quote below… see how it speaks to you. Then decide what it means for you and find a way to take action. It’s the simplest of acts, of gestures, of reaching out to someone else, or reaching inside yourself to make a difference. After all, change begins with you.

“I have one life and one chance to make it count for something. My faith demands that I do whatever I can, wherever I am, whenever I can, for as long as I can, with whatever I have, to try and make a difference.” – Former President Jimmy Carter

For all of its intricacies, challenges, and delights, your life really comes down to just one thing: make a difference. It’s that simple.

Read the quote again. Let it marinate in your soul. Then take a deep breath, and begin.

After all, it’s just about… life.

Until next time, thanks for taking the time.
