100 Ways: It’s Just About… Life.

number 100

AND HERE WE ARE: Post #100.

I say we, because it can’t happen without you. Yes, I can write it, but it is still first and foremost a shared experience, and over the weekend that experience rolled over 12,000 views on this blog. I thank you, deeply and in ways you might never comprehend. For this is my why.

A way to share thoughts, experience, values, self-improvemnt, growth, dreams, the journey to achieve those dreams. A journey we all must pursue. I launched the blog on my oldest daughter’s 13th birthday back on January 9th,(https://markbrodinsky.com/2013/01/09/moments-observations-of-life/), the love for my family being that which overrides all other things, and have tried to share the love and perspective throughout these past 100 posts. It is a great joy.

I’ve written, you’ve read, you’ve commented and offered feedback on so many topics, everything from overcoming Fear, to the Voice, to the Good Light, to Magic Numbers, to Being Remarkable, to the meaning of Spring, to the power of Words, to Gratitude, to the House That Love Built, to the meaning of Time, to H.O.P.E, to Super Bowl victories, to The 3% club, to the first day of Spring, to a personal journey of living with breast cancer, to living the dream of becoming a best-selling author, and even to the tender subject of loss, saying goodbye to those who have passed on, too many of them much too soon.
(I can’t post all the links above, because there are too many, but search the key words in archive and the posts will pop up)

Through it all I have tried to cover the topics with an eye toward a greater purpose, with a lesson in mind, to be purposeful about all I am sharing. The end game: to become MORE and help others to do the same.

This is a journey and I thought it worthwhile to stop here at post #100 and say Thank You. Thank you so much.

Years back there was a song by James Ingram, 100 Ways. Through the lyrics of the song Ingram explains you need to find 100 Ways to appreciate those you love. If I could list them all here, the ways in which I appreciate you, I would, because it’s gratitude, appreciation and love, the big three which make the world go ’round. Tap in, then reach out to someone else and be transformed.

I have been transformed through the pages of this blog, I hope you are feeling it too, because it is my ultimate goal. Our journey continues, and it’s what it’s all about. The joy of this journey.

And then there’s karma. Ah, the great unexpected experience, which when you are driven and passionate about your purpose, it seems the universe will conspire on your behalf. And so it has.

Last night I experienced a rare treat, sitting in the very first row at Camden Yards, right next to the Orioles dugout, watching the team I have loved since I knew what the word meant, watching them sweep the Yankees right out of Baltimore. That was big enough. But then I looked up at the scoreboard…

The man closing out that game, Orioles reliever Jim Johnson, had just recorded another save in this great season.

Career save #100.

Until next time, (post #101), thanks for taking the time. 🙂

Mark

  2. With my busy schedule, there is (sadly) little time for reading. But I have two must-reads every time I come across them- the Sun sports section and your blogs. Kudos and congrats on number 100- proud of you beyond words- keep inspiring and following your dream!

    1. Thanks Ed. And thanks for taking a moment to inspire me by taking the time to comment. It means a lot my friend.
