Five for Fighting: It’s Just About… Life.

RMH 2013 08 15 It Takes Two (v2) NO, this blog is not about the singing group, or the hockey penalty, it’s about a way for you and I to easily make a difference and I will cut right to the chase. It was a tremendous week for the book I authored, It Takes 2. Surviving Breast Cancer: A Spouse’s Story, from it’s #1 status on Amazon, to media interviews, book signings and heartwarming response in the community and across the country, I so want to give back. Life’s greatest gift… to give.

The Kindle e-book version of It Takes 2 normally retails for $7.99 on Amazon, but for the next five days in honor of those fighting the good fight against breast cancer, it is repriced to $2.99 and the $5.00 difference for every Kindle e-book downloaded will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Baltimore, to help the children and their families. A way to give back on two fronts, a way to use the book for good.
Two easy ways to link to the book, the book website: www.spouses-story.com or www.amazon.com/author/markbrodinsky

I serve on the Board of Directors for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Baltimore and have been looking for a way to use my book to help this wonderful non-profit organization, this is it. As heartbreaking as the breast cancer battle can be, as much as each person needs support, (the entire reason I transformed my personal journal on the subject into a book), there might be nothing more heart wrenching than watching a child who is sick, in need of assistance and of course, in need of love. The House provides the families of these children a home away from home. To learn more, you can visit their website (www.rmhcbaltimore.org), or the Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/#!/RMHCBaltimore).

A quick tip: you don’t need a Kindle to get the Kindle e-book on your device. The Kindle app is FREE on almost any phone, tablet or other device, which then turns that device into a mini-Kindle reader and you can download Kindle e-books. I have the app on my iPhone and iPad.

So again the deal, pure and simple: For five days only, It Takes 2. Surviving Breast Cancer: A Spouse’s Story, is $2.99 on Amazon and the $5.00 savings from its original price will be automatically donated on your behalf to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Baltimore.

For the breast cancer survivors, warriors, heroes…and for the children who fight every day to regain good health, or simply to stay alive. For all, the journey needs love and attention.

For the next five days, It Takes 2, joins the battle.

$5 for fighting.

Until next time, thanks for taking the time.

Mark

  1. For those of us who have experienced breast cancer, the thought of cancer in a child is too much. How many of us walking the corridors of the hospitals have had our hearts wrenched when seeing a family coping with a very ill child? What a great incentive for your book, what a great deal, what a great way to extend a helping hand!

    1. Thanks Haralee. Trying to make a difference.
