It’s pretty simple. Actually most of what we want to accomplish in life is, at its core, simple. But only if you know where to look.
And today it’s a reminder of what life can do for you, if you are simply aware, if you figure out what you are really all about.
Find your WHY, then find your way.
Just remember, this is life and this is all up to you. Face it, embrace it.
It’s all up to you and today’s blog is short and sweet, just like the time we all have together on this earth. Life moves at the speed of light. So you should do as Bob Buford writes in his book, Half Time, and take some time to slow down and figure it out:
…find the ‘one thing’ that is uniquely yours – the thing that, once found, will enable you to make a difference. Your one thing is the most essential part of you, your transcendent dimension. What is your purpose? What makes you tick? What do you do so well that you would enjoy doing it without pay? What is your passion, the spark that needs only a little breeze to ignite into a raging fire?”
It is your life and it is yours to truly live – but only if you make the choice to do so, figure out your one thing and make a difference. And if you are not happy, don’t blame anyone else but yourself – because you have control:
I know this blog, writing, is part of my one thing, my gift, my treasure. The blog began January 13th, 2013 and has since led me to become an author by writing and publishing a book, to speaking engagements, to speech writing and an invitation to share my voice on Huffington Post. Not to mention, and maybe most importantly, the soulfully rewarding connections I have made with other human beings through my Sunday Series.
What is your one thing? Is your life really beginning, stagnating, or worse, are you looking for an exit. Don’t search for a way out, instead go deep inside and figure out what you are really all about, it’s worth it, and the world is forever changed when you can make it happen.
After all, that’s life and it is time to begin.
Until next time, thanks for taking the time.
