Your Best Day: It’s Just About… Life.

“The two most important days of your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.” – Mark Twain

This is one that made me stop and say, “wow”. I’ve read a number of books and seen and heard some great quotes recently, but that one is a show-stopper, because if YOU stop to consider it, it could change your life. Thanks to Dan Hoch, one of the members of our 3% club, for bringing this quote to my attention during our meeting, where the topic focused on living a life of significance. First you have to find out why.

The cool thing is it means different things to different people. What makes one person great, doesn’t mean that’s what you want for yourself. It’s the trap too many of us fall into, looking at someone else’s life or success and thinking, I wish I could be more like him/her. How about being YOU? How about what makes YOU special. Focus on the talents you possess, and how you can take those talents, link them with your passion, your heart, your purpose and use them to help other people. The rewards can be even greater than you imagine.

You just need to know why.

Why. What is driving you? What is the higher calling? Let your mind wander. What would you do, if there were NO obstacles, nothing standing in your way… health, money, time, or any other adversity… that would make you feel completely fulfilled. Your answer will most likely be different than those around you, because we are all born with unique gifts and talents, we just need to tap in, to harness the power for ourselves and for others, to lead a life of significance. Don’t cheat yourself, or the world, WE need you to find out because who you are and why you are makes a difference to everyone. Find that one answer and the two minutes you took to read this blog will lead you to the most important day of your life.
